Kellogg, the band’s founder, can be described as super creative and highly energetic, but full of heart and compassion at the same time. It’s exciting to me to have the chance to show our fabulous Sundance family this other facet of The Bluebird Cafe! And you couldn’t ask for a more mind-blowing performance to kick off this new series than one from Stephen Kellogg and his band. We still present these plugged-in performances at least twice a week, if not more with both our regular Monday Night shows featuring the Mike Henderson Band and our plugged-in weekly Sunday Spotlight. “When the venue first opened, the nightly performances were all band shows. “Although today’s Bluebird Cafe is best known for its acoustic performances by notable songwriters, that’s not how the club started,” explains Erika Nichols, Bluebird Cafe’s General Manager and COO. Unlike their other Bluebird Cafe shows that are traditionally acoustic, Bluebird Bands will feature full bands who will put on complete plugged-in concert experiences. Partnering again with the Bluebird Cafe, the resort looks forward to bringing some of its best bands to the Sundance stage. ![]() Spurred on by the high demand for the Bluebird Cafe, they decided to introduce a new outdoor music experience: Bluebird Bands. Sundance regulars look forward to our Bluebird concert series every year, which features some of Nashville’s best singer-songwriters in an acoustic in-the-round style show. Creative expression has always been the heartbeat of the resort, with one of its most unique artistic endeavors being its 21-year partnership with the famous Bluebird Cafe based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Sundance has long been recognized as a haven for art, culture, and natural beauty. Sundance Mountain Resort, in partnership with the Bluebird Cafe, is thrilled to introduce a new era of concerts titled “Bluebird Bands.” The series, which will feature original music performed live by some of Nashville’s most talented bands, will kick off Sunday September 3 with a performance by the Stephen Kellogg Band. ![]()
